Still a great buy on a vintage Gibson. L to R: `60, `61 & `62 What's not to love about Honduran Mahogany and Brazilian Rosewood?

So cool. How is the intonation on the wraparound bridges? Close enough for rock and roll?

Wow, that's amazing. I'm sure it's because it's a Gibson scale which is shorter than a Fender scale. It's much more forgiving. It must sustain for days!!!

I sent Jason Lollar a sheet of Tortoise Shell material and he made me a couple of pickguards for the `60 & `61.

That sure looks better. Definitely adds a cool factor! 8-)

Thanks!! I figured since Epiphone did this with the Gibson made Olympic's(the Epi version of a Melody Maker), that it wouldn't be out of line.

im looking at the first picture and i have a hondo2 melody maker japaneese it looks identical to that one exact cut of body neck colors. i can see why they got sued for that one. i have to admit it sounds pretty good for a copy. i did change the bridge (tailpiece ) to one with ajustable saddles. if i could figure out how to post a picture id post one so you could see how close it is.

Posting pictures is relatively easy. First you need to get a photobucket account (or some other photo-sharing website), which is free. Then you upload images to your account and copy and paste the image codes here, in your post.
