This reply took a long time I picked up a 2009 Fender American Standard Telecaster
3 Tone Sunburst with a Alder Body and Maple neck. About a month ago I got a new
Amp a reissue Fender 59 Bassman LTD it was used and was made in 2008. They
sound good together and now I'm looking at a different style guitar to offset
the Telecaster. A Gretsch 6128T Duo Jet or a 6129T Blue Pearl Jet, a Steinberger
GR4 used, Epiphone Casino Elitist, Phantom Guitar Works Teardrop or Phantom.
So which one I will have to save so there is no rush and the Amp that I really want
I hope some day I can get it is this a (Tone King Galaxy) but at $3590.00 it might
take me a long time to get the money.

Congrats on the Tele and Bassman....big fan of both, though I did sell my Bassman RI a few years back (scored a '57 Twin RI I needed help paying for, LOL).

As to your next, you'll get lots of opinions based on personal favorites, so I'll toss mine in--can't go wrong with the Casino IMO. The HB/P-90 combo will be a nice contrast to your Tele, and will sound great with your Bassman.

I have a Korean-made Casino, and have owned two of the Lennon RIs (US/Japanese). I had a serial-numbered Revolution, and also picked up one of the Refurb 1965 models Musician's Friend blew out a couple years back. I wound up selling the Rev for enough to pay for both the Refurb and a '52 AVRI Tele, and kept the 1965 Refurb--a mint guitar, rumored to be an overrun from Gibby.

I've actually got the Casino right next to me as I type this...I play it acoustically as much if not more than I play it plugged in. Fantastic guitars...

In any case, happy hunting!!

jwl325 last weekend I went with a friend to one of our local music stores
and I did play a Epiphone Elitist Casino. It played great and was light and
I also played a 360 Rickenbacker which also played good. As I looked at
the price they were both the same then I played a Gretsch 6129T Green
Sparkle Jet and it was used. That guitar was Pre Fender and it needed
a little work but sounded good like new strings and a setup. I wish I still
had my Gretsch 6128TBEE Duo Jet that I sold big mistake  I also
looked at a couple of other Telecaster and the Deluxe but the guitar
that I would like to try is the Phantom Guitar Works yet no local music
stores in up state NY stock them. So I keep checking ebay and some
of the guitars don't look to bad.

Twin, you know I love my tele. I'm sure it's sounds awesome with the bassman. If you ae looking for a different sound, I agree with jwl, go with a humbucker or at a minimum p90 guitar for variety.

Epi I do like the sound of a Gretsch thru the reissue Bassman here in up
state NY there not a lot of players using Gretsch guitars. I looked at the
price of a new PRS Custom 24 and it's over 3G. The guitar store in NYC
Rocky Street Sounds seem to have a good selection of Gretsch guitars
in stock 8-) If I can find another 6128TBEE Duo Jet that's what I'll buy.
Having the Telecaster and the reissue 59 Bassman LTD I can take my time
getting the money. The other one that I like is the 6129T Blue Pearl Jet
but that one would need the Bridge Pinned and have a B7 put on it.
